Svelland Capital (UK) Ltd is a commodities investment management company, founded by Mr. Tor Andre Svelland in 2016. The firm focuses on achieving superior returns for our investors across all market conditions from opportunities deriving from the energy transition.

The Svelland Capital team has a rare understanding of the physical commodity and freight markets, and crucially, a proven ability to synthesize and translate fundamental market signals into high conviction investment opportunities. The team has an extensive information network across the physical commodity, shipping and renewable industries (the team works closely with a global environmental group). Svelland Capital also has extensive risk management experience from years of discretionary trading at large institutions, and managing risk through multiple commodity and broader financial market cycles.
Founder & CIO
Tor A. Svelland has over 30 years of experience successfully investing in commodities and commodity related markets. He generates returns from a proven discretionary trading methodology and through deep fundamental analysis of the physical commodity and associated freight markets. Tor honed his skills working at shipping companies early in his career in Oslo and Athens, at leading financial institutions, and more recently at one of the world’s largest commodity trading companies.
